What's It All About?

St. Albans Congregational Church endeavors to exemplify the profound musical heritage of the historic Addisleigh Park/St. Albans neighborhood. In 2003, Senior Minister Rev. Dr. Henry T. Simmons envisioned Jazz Communion Vespers as a bridge linking our neighborhood's significant musical history with the spiritual needs of our contemporary community.

We hold the conviction that music possesses the capacity to heal and uplift the human spirit. We fulfill this commitment through Jazz Communion Vespers. This unique jazz service conveys the Good News and teachings of Jesus to all individuals, employing an innovative combination of music, Scripture, and reflection. All are cordially invited to partake at our Communion table.

Jazz Communion Vespers is on the first Saturday of every month.

Vespers introduces the public to world-renowned jazz artists. Starting in the early evening, it offers an accessible alternative for seniors and those with busy schedules who find Sunday services challenging. This unconventional, interactive worship service also serves as an excellent way for young people to experience jazz. While entry is always free, your generous donations help us provide high-quality musical experiences for everyone.

The suggested minimum donation is $20.00.
